New rules for website accessibility may expose your company to litigation

The Department of Justice (DOJ) published the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design in September 2010.

These standards state that all electronic and information technology must be accessible to people with disabilities.

The DOJ has recently stopped accepting public comments and now believes that WCAG 2.0 AA should be the standard for Web content, and has slated for these new guidelines to go into effect March of 2018.
